Liza has nearly 30 years’ experience working with private, public and NGO sectors across China, Europe and Latin America. She started her professional career in Greater China in the 90’s as a market researcher, advising companies on investment and consumer market entry strategies. Her world views have been shaped greatly by the geographies she has lived in and the people and organisations she has worked with, on global issues ranging from modern slavery and farmer livelihoods to water scarcity and deforestation. A farmer’s daughter, she has a natural interest and experience in sustainable food systems, supply chains and natural resources, but also advises in other sectors and capacities, both programmatic and strategic – including most recently, pharmaceuticals and pet care. Liza has a BA in Chinese Politics & East Asian Studies and an MSc in Environmental Technology. She speaks Chinese and Spanish.
