The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) is a membership organisation focused on responsible supply chain practices for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. PSCI is a non-profit, member-led, organisation registered in the US. Carnstone, since 2015, has provided Secretariat to PSCI.
As we launch our new partnership category for suppliers, we are hiring for a new Coordinator to join this team, with a focus on our supplier community and memberled topic teams.
Our work focuses on improving practices at manufacturing sites supplying the industry (drug production) and spans five comprehensive topic areas: - human rights, the environment, health & safety, ethics and management systems.
Activities are organised across three impact pillars: creating efficiencies and transparency through audit sharing, enabling suppliers to improve their practices, and carrying out collaborative impact projects.
With over 75 companies in membership and relationships with thousands of suppliers, PSCI sets the standard for the industry.

The vacancy

Manage and maintain the new Supplier Partnership category, launching Jan ‘24

Liaison with our supplier community, managing those relationships and communications

Events support for supplier conferences and webinars, with scope to run one or two key events

Meeting management for PSCI’s 9 member-led topic teams, each of which meet monthly

Support project administration, feeding into overall project finance and accounting, and managing the budget and finances for Supplier Partners

Develop content and support organisation for member meetings and conferences as needed, especially where they relate to the work of the topic teams or to the supplier community
- Contribute to learning and development amongst the supplier community on sustainability topics
Depending on the candidate’s experience and capabilities, it may be possible to take a key role in the following aspects of PSCI’s activities:

IT: Management of the website, audit sharing platform and interactive online learning resources

Partnerships: There is scope to support PSCI’s strategic partnerships, for example our relationship with CPHI
- Learning and development: With the right capabilities, the candidate could substantially contribute to PSCI’s program of capability-building for suppliers, including course design and training delivery
Consideration – The role is for 4-5 days per week, based out of our London office with a minimum of 1 day per week working from the office. Further flexible working options are available.

About you

What we’re looking for
We employ smart people from a variety of academic disciplines and professional backgrounds. Our Partners and Senior Partners arrive with several years’ relevant experience in one or more aspects of sustainability, be it social or environmental. They come with proven experience in project or client management, and a particular area of expertise to complement the existing team. We appreciate a commercial aptitude, and previous consultancy experience is a distinct advantage.
We recruit interns and Junior Partners who are able to demonstrate exceptional levels of drive, curiosity and interest in sustainability. Most of them join us after successfully completing a relevant undergraduate degree in science, engineering, business, sustainability or a related subject.
