Accountability Framework Initiative
The Accountability Framework initiative (AFi) is a collaborative effort to build and scale up ethical supply chains for agricultural and forestry products. We worked with the Accountability Framework to develop a standardised method for assessing the sourcing policies and practices of paper mills, as part of our work with the publishing industry. Acre is the leading sustainability recruitment company connecting companies and people across corporate responsibility, sustainability, environment, energy and health & safety to help build the next generation of sustainable business. The company was founded in 2003 to respond to the growing need for sustainability professionals and offers bespoke solutions for recruitment, search and business intelligence. We work with Acre to deliver the biennial CR and Sustainability Salary Survey, which is the largest initiative of its kind.
Flag
Flag offers communications consultancy, production and deliverables in digital and print. Founded in 1984, Flag’s 45-strong team of designers, writers and editors, account directors and managers, artworkers and web developers are located in offices in Cambridge and London and work with organisations in the UK, US, Europe and Asia. We partner with Flag on the biennial CR and Sustainability Salary Survey, where they continue to give excellent direction on branding and design.
Living Wage Foundation
The real Living Wage is voluntarily paid by businesses that believes their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs. Carnstone is a Living Wage employer, and have committed to ensuring that the Living Wage is paid to those who supply us and our offices. We also provide pro bono support to the Living Wage Foundation in relation to the Living Hours Initiative. This aims to provide employees with security around the hours they work.

Founded in 2004, Quiet Science design and develop customised web applications. With a belief in creating simple to use, cleanly designed, standards-driven software with functionality tailored specifically to the requirements of each project, Quiet Science is our trusted technical partner in the creation of web solutions, both internally, for our clients and for our multi-stakeholder initiatives.
SGS
SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. With more than 80,000 employees, SGS operates a network of more than 1,650 offices and laboratories around the world. We work with SGS on the Book Chain Project, using their global team to conduct specialist hotspot audits, as well as social and environmental audits against the Book Chain Project code.
The Social Mobility Foundation
The Social Mobility Foundation provides opportunities and networks of support to talented but socioeconomically disadvantaged young people. Carnstone works with SMF to exclusively dedicate our internship programme to SMF’s network of graduates, allowing us to do our bit for social mobility in the profession.

We partner with the world-class researchers at Bristol on DIMPACT, our collaborative project convened by Carnstone to measure and address the GHG footprint of digital content.
